Some shopping and happy hour

We went and looked at a trailer for rent for Al. Has definite possibilities but we're not sure yet if it will be available.

Katie and I decided to goto downtown McAllen Main Street where there are all sorts of shops with a variety of things. We went last year, it is just fun to browse around. There are lots of perfume stores, dollar type stores, cheap electronics, shoes and purses etc.

We got a few odds and ends that we were looking for...and just walked around for a couple of hours.

We went to our friends Bill and June at about 4:30 for happy hour. They had about 6 other couples there...most we had met or are friends with and a few we hadn't. They made a great supper with Bill barbecuing pork tenderloin and chicken along with Cesar salad and all the trimmings.

Remi mentioned the other day that he had a real lemon pie at someone's home in the park and really enjoyed. it. Katie made one from scratch and took it over and it was a big hit.

Lots of libations were enjoyed, and there was lots of good and interesting conversations, and a ton of laughs. Bill is always funny anyway but gets even more so in this kind of environment.

All I can say is that the company was good, the food was great, and a good time was had by all.

We didn't get home until close to ten as it was a beautiful night with a night light breeze sitting on Bill's deck.

Then it was some catching up on Japan and off to bed. Golf on Tuesday with Steve and Janet.
